FEBRUARY 11, 2019     


The February 11, 2019 regular meeting was cancelled.  The next regular meeting is scheduled for March 11, 2019 at 4:00 at Lakewood.

January 2019 Minutes


LWES SBDM JANUARY - 2019
LAKEWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
JANUARY 14, 2019    

Mrs. Clark called the meeting of the Lakewood School Council to order.  Council members present were Lori Howlett, Michelle Masterson, Kathie Hamilton, Chris Spears, Curtis Nall and Shelee Clark.
I.                    ORDER #FY19 – 1344 – APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Council agreed by consensus to approve the agenda.
ORDER #FY19 – 1345 – APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Council agreed by consensus to approve the minutes of the December 10, 2018 regular meeting.
The December holiday meal was attended by many.  Lakewood has three additional staff members that are Google-certified educators.  Students and staff enjoyed the Leader in Me In-House Field Trip.            
II.                  The December  budget report was reviewed and accepted.  The December accident report was reviewed and accepted.  No committee reports were available at this time.  The Curriculum & Instruction committee conducted writing folder checks.  Council reviewed the Brigance kindergarten readiness data.  Council also reviewed the bylaw concerning agendas.
III.                ORDER #FY19 - 1346 – WRITING POLICY SECOND READ – Council agreed by consensus to approve the second read of the Writing Policy. 
IV.                The next regular meeting will be Monday,  February 11, 2019 at 4:00 pm at Lakewood conference room.  Kathie Hamilton will serve as facilitator, Chris Spears as resource person and Curtis Nall as scribe. 
ORDER #FY19 – 1347 – ADJOURNMENT – Meeting was adjourned by consensus of council.
