LAKEWOOD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
NOVEMBER 12, 2018
Mr. Spears called the meeting
of the Lakewood School Council to order. Council members present were Lori Howlett, Michelle
Masterson, Kathie Hamilton and Chris Spears.
I.
ORDER
#FY19 – 1334 – APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Council agreed by consensus to
approve the agenda.
ORDER #FY19 – 1335 – APPROVAL OF MINUTES
– Council agreed by consensus to approve the minutes of the October 8, 2018
regular meeting.
Lakewood has achieved PBIS Bronze status. One Lakewood student placed second at the
state art contest in 3-dimensional art.
One student earned honorable mention in the environmental emoji poster
contest. Three students earned awards in
the Honeyfest art contest. Pam Serpico
passed Level 2 Google Educator certification.
Joe Cecil has an art exhibit at ECTC’s Morrison Gallery. Lori Howlett led a successful Veteran’s Day
program. Chuck Jewell has received a
grant from the CKCF for materials in the music classroom.
II.
The September and October budget reports were reviewed and accepted. The October accident report was reviewed and
accepted.
III.
ORDER
#FY19 – 1336 – SCHOOL REPORT CARD APPROVAL – Council officially reviewed
and approved the school report card.
IV.
The next regular meeting will be Monday, December 10, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Lakewood
conference room. Curtis Nall will serve
as facilitator, Chris Spears as resource person and Kathie Hamilton as
scribe.

#FY19 – 1337 – ADJOURNMENT – Meeting was adjourned by consensus of
council.
