Mrs. Clark called the meeting
of the Lakewood School Council to order.
Council members present were Kathie
Hamilton, Angela Pike, Mary Waddell and
Shelee Clark.
I.
ORDER #FY20
– 1403 – APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Council agreed by consensus to approve
the agenda.
ORDER #FY20 – 1404 – APPROVAL OF MINUTES
– Council agreed by consensus to approve the minutes of the December 9,
2019 meeting.
Numerous
grandparents attended the holiday lunch with students. The GEMS holiday concert was enjoyed by many
attendees. Students also participated in
a Leader in Me In-House field trip.
The MAP
testing window is open.
The December budget report was reviewed and accepted.
The December accident report was reviewed and accepted. Council reviewed and accepted committee reports from the Assessment and Efficiency committees. The Curriculum and Instruction committee conducted writing folder checks.

II.
ORDER #FY20 – 1405 –TITLE I DISTRICT
SET-ASIDE FUNDING APPROVAL – Council agreed by consensus to approve the
use of Title I District Set-aside
funding to purchase literacy materials, professional development initiatives
and parent engagement resources for Lakewood Elementary.
ORDER
#FY20 – 1406 – DRAFT 2020-21 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN – Council
agreed by consensus to approve the draft 2020-21 professional development plan.
ORDER
#FY20 – 1407 – CONSULTATION TO HIRE – Council officially consulted
to hire Tina Murray-Trujillo as preschool instructional assistant.
III.
The next regular meeting will be Monday, February
10, 2020 at 4:15 pm at Lakewood conference room. Danielle Linder will serve as facilitator, Kathie
Hamilton as resource person and Mary Waddell as scribe.
