Mrs. Clark called the meeting
of the Lakewood School Council to order.
Council members present were Kathie
Hamilton, Angela Pike, Mary Waddell, Lori Howlett and Shelee Clark.
I.
ORDER #FY20
– 1414 – APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Council agreed by consensus to approve
the agenda.
ORDER #FY20 – 1415 – APPROVAL OF MINUTES
– Council agreed by consensus to approve the minutes of the February 10,
2020 regular meeting.
The 5th
grade boy’s basketball team were runners-up in the CHHS league. Many people attended the Bruin
breakfast. Lakewood was represented well
in the Jim Claypool conservation art contest.
The family
engagement survey results were discussed by council.
The February
accident report was reviewed and accepted.
Council reviewed and accepted
committee reports from the Assessment, Learning Environment, Efficiency
and Curriculum and Instruction committees. February budget report will be
available at next meeting.
II.
ORDER #FY20 – 1416 –2020-21 DRAFT BUDGET
APPROVAL – Council agreed by consensus to approve the 2020-21 Draft
Budget.
ORDER
#FY20 – 1417 – FIRST READ OF FAMILY ENGAGEMENT POLICY AND SCHOOL COMPACT -
Council agreed by consensus to approve the first read of the family engagement
policy and school compact.
Staffing allocations for 2020-21 were
discussed by council.
III.
The next regular meeting will be Monday, April
13, 2020 at 4:15 pm at Lakewood conference room. Mary Waddell will serve as facilitator, Kathie
Hamilton as resource person and Angela
Pike as scribe.
